Winter Sports Conditioning Class

Skiers and boarders: train for your strongest season yet!

We focus on the physical conditioning skiers and boarders need most: strength, endurance, balance, power, and agility. We use circuit training to gain aerobic power and muscular endurance. Total body exercises such as the dumbbell snatch, and swinging squats are mixed with treadmill hill runs and jumping rope etc...

After 3 to 4 weeks of base building we add agility and plyometrics. Agility drills utilizing ladders, cones, and mini hurdles provide balanced, efficient movement. Plyometrics training develops explosive movements for the power to pound moguls and stick landings. Flexibility exercises are part of every class to enhance elasticity.

Class starts Oct.6 and runs through Dec.12
Class meets Tues. and Thurs 5:45 to 6:45pm
Location: Central Park Tennis Club in Kirkland
